Take on the retail world with the support of a global partner.

what is Target accelerator program india?

Innovation is core to Target’s culture and as a part of our constant endeavor to unleash open innovation and stay ahead of the curve, the Target Accelerator Program was launched in 2014. This 16-week program seeks out transformative and technology-driven ideas to create solutions for today’s rapidly changing retail environment. As we build relationships within the Indian startup ecosystem and help to bring highly innovative technology startups to Target, this program help to develop their ideas via engagement with Target business leaders.

The experience is modeled on FAME principles – Funding (Paid Pilot), Acceleration, Mentorship and Enterprise connect. At the end of the 16-week program, each startup will have an opportunity to present their business case to Target leaders, investors and others during a Demo Day.

1. Selection process

The process begins with an online nomination available on a publicly shared link. You may be asked to meet with us face-to-face to pitch your startup. Selection will be determined based on talent, capabilities and relevance for Target. Ultimately 7 to 8 startups are selected per cohort.

2. Onboarding process

Next, you will meet with business mentors from Target to define the pilot opportunity that would allow you to work on a real business-use case. After this meeting, you will fill out any necessary paperwork.

3. Pilot phase

Now comes the fun part: working with Target business mentors to co-develop products with the potential to scale globally and revolutionize the retail industry. Prepare for lots of networking, showcasing, demos, tech integration talks and possibly even a paid pilot opportunity.

4. Graduation

The entire 16-week program culminates with Demo Day, when you will get to pitch your company to investors and network with prospective customers. What happens after that? The sky's the limit.
