This is the fifth installment of a recap series spotlighting the many great leaders and founders who have volunteered their time to speak with the 2021 Target Forward Founders Cohort.
This #forwardfounderfriday we’re spotlighting all the supply chain subject matter experts that were invited to join our cohort for all the program fun!
Our first SME (Subject matter expert) to give our participants the 101 on Target supply chain was a team member herself, Sydni Price. Sydni spilled the beans when it came to common acronyms used in supply chain talk and gave us all the hints when our brands are ready to hit the shelves.
We also invited Jeff and Stuart from MPG to take us into the thought process of. A supplier themselves. They introduced viewpoints to our cohort about what its like to actually partner with mass retailers and what it means to meet their demands.
Lastly, to end off the educational aspect of the week, Target Forward Founders Program management team and cohort invite Len Ellis to do a deep dive on what a 3PL is and if its right for our participants brand.
We closed off the week with two fireside chats with (insert adjective here)Takeoff Alumni women. Our first fireside chat we were joined by Shaira from Luna Magic and Nadia from PillowSheets; both target Takeoff Alumni shared their experience with scaling and what it’s like to work a supplier. We ended our session with insights on marketing and strategy from the perspective of a known brand with Sarah Stein, another Takeoff Alum.
The Target Forward Founders Program Management team would like to thank all of our SME’s this week and their participation and advice to our cohort!
