Meet Wolf Spring

Xavier Delastrade & Etienne Legangneux, Wolf Spring CEOs & Founders

TT: What’s the one-liner description of Wolf Spring?

Etienne & Xavier: We are the first functional beverage company for dogs. Our mission is to help dog parents be proactive about their companion’s health.

TT: What inspired you to start Wolf Spring? What makes what you are doing different from anyone else in the marketplace?

Etienne & Xavier: We both cared for aging dogs which had all too common issues because of a lack of balanced diets. Our experience trying to give them pills for joints made us think a more convenient and proactive way must be possible. We realized that a lot of people wanted to upgrade their dog’s diet and like us could not find a suitable option. Fresh food for dogs is very expensive and kibbles might/[usually/often] lack key aliments dogs need to grow and age healthy. With Wolf Spring, people can upgrade their dog’s diet in a convenient, fun and affordable way. You simply pour it over your dog’s food to bring this extra health boost. People know and trust the drink format, because they use it for themselves every day and they can see that it works e.g. Kombucha, collagen drinks, green juices.

TT: How did you decide it was the right time to join an Accelerator? What are you most looking forward to getting out of the Target Takeoff experience?

Etienne & Xavier: The program is a unique opportunity for us to learn how large retailers like Target work, and how we can use their reach to help more people improve their dog’s wellness. We are very excited to also meet other entrepreneurs in the pet space, as I am sure we can help each other and have a common passion for pets!

TT: What currently keeps you up at night, as a founder/leader of your company?

Etienne & Xavier: We are extremely customer centric and have two customers: the dog parent and the dog! So I always think about how can we improve our product and the overall customer experience. We want Wolf Spring to be very effective on our dog’s health and at the same time create fun, bonding moments between dogs and dog parents.

TT: Fast forward 1 year from now: where do you see your company and your team?

Etienne & Xavier: In a year from now, we willhave a lot of innovation in the pipeline, starting by a new formula: Calming to help dogs with anxiety. We want to have a natural solution to help even more dogs. The team will be much bigger as we expend to cover more geographies and also increase our pool of talents to get the word out about Wolf Spring!
