Tech: When meeting someone new, how do you explain what your company does?

We predict the ripeness of fruits, with our proprietary sensors, to help optimize the food supply chain.

Tech: How did you know when it was time to consider going through an accelerator experience?

It’s critical to have customer and industry feedback when building a new product or process and the accelerator process seems like a great way to achieve that in 1/4th the time.

Tech: What has surprised you about yourself as your business has grown?

We’re learning that we need to apply effort differently in a growing business. Specifically, we are placing a much higher focus on getting project scope and alignment correct at the beginning, and spending a bit less time ‘in the weeds’ daily on projects. However, a deep dive check-in is critical more often.

Tech: Who has been instrumental in supporting your idea and why?

Too many people to list. It’s amazing how many people are willing to be mentors without requesting anything in return, it’s very encouraging and inspires you to do the same.

Tech: As a business owner/founder, how are you functioning today that is different than how you were functioning 6 months ago?

We’ve reached the point where brute force effort won’t solve every problem, we’ve been making a critical transition into focusing on delegating mission-critical tasks.

Tech: What advice would you give to other entrepreneurs who are navigating this current environment?

Focus on helping customers and solving large problems and there will be opportunities for business growth.

Tech: Where do you see yourself and your business 6 months from today?

One of our main goals is to have established sustainable business processes that frees us up as leaders to put a large amount of focus on new growth.
